Eileen Drebert

Owner and Operator of Wag'n It Canine Adventures, Training and Pet Sitting Services.

I am a dedicated professional dog trainer with certifications in dog emotion and cognition, animal welfare, pet first aid, and as a certified trick dog instructor. Before moving to Fort St. John, I spent two and a half years working in the Okanagan, where I created, designed, and taught various group and private classes at Kelowna Pet Resort. My training services were recognized as some of the best in Kelowna, earning bronze in 2020, silver in 2021, and I was on track for gold in 2022.

Animals have always been my passion, and throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of pet care roles, gaining hands-on experience in pack management, reading dog body language, and using effective training techniques. I’ve worked in pet stores, dog daycares, boarding facilities, breeding programs, dog walking, pet sitting, recreational dog sports, and even spent some time grooming.

Prior to training in Kelowna, I spent several years mentoring and working at a dog behavior and wellness center in Alberta, where I developed the skills to help dogs with behavioral challenges thrive. Now, I run Wag’n It Canine Adventures, offering training and pet sitting services to dog owners in the Fort St. John area. My goal is to help foster better relationships and deeper understanding between owners and their canine companions.

Bailey, Bailey & Boh!

Nope! That’s not a typo! We have two Baileys!
All together we have our own little pack of 3!

For those who regularly use Wag’n It services, you will have at one point or another run into this rag tag team of dogs. The two white coloured pups are Wag’n It’s training demo dogs. Bailey the Border Collie (Age 9) and Boh the Border/Aussie (Age 2). These two regularly join private and group training sessions to help clients with their own dogs needs whether that is to gain socialization skills, help with controlled distraction, demonstrate specific skills or to be a neutral presence for dogs struggling with reactivity.

Now our other Bailey (Age 10) joined the pack when my partner and I moved to FSJ together! Bailey is a happy go-lucky chocolate lab who loves to join in on Wag’n It’s adventures and is a very sweet company dog! You will find her joining in on trial walks as she is a great friend to dogs who are learning what Wag’n It walks are all about!
Please note: The dog training industry is unregulated, so it’s crucial to do your research when selecting a trainer for your dogs behaviour and training needs. I hold multiple certifications that reflect the experience I’ve gained over the years, and continuing education is a priority for both me and my clients. At Wag’n It, we use LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive), force-free, R+, science-based training methods to ensure the best outcomes for your dog.
